2007-2008 Ski Season Wrap-Up
We had three kids qualify from the 2-Day Kandahar race at Snow Ridge for the Kandahar finals; Emily Wirth, Dalton Carter, Tyler Wetzel.
At Kandahar finals in Elicottville (Holimont ski area). Tyler pulled off a 2nd place, securing a berth to the Piche invitational held last weekend at Gunstock ski area in NH. Tyler is only the 3rd JV from Skaneateles to qualify for this event and he is the first that has done it as a 9 year old.Also worth noting that 2 Skaneateles alumni also qualified in older age brackets; Bailey Ditch and Gordon Mason also qualified as JIII's. At Gunstock Tyler raced against the 60 top racers in his age category, 9 and 10 year olds, from the Northeast (All new england states including NH, VT, ME, MA, PA, CT, NY, NJ and more) and finished in about 20th place.
