In October 2006, the Skaneateles Ski Club membership adopted a new set of by-laws.  One of the goals of the Board of Directors was to encourage the membership to become more active in the Hill.  A great way to do this is to chair or join one of the committees list below.

Please email Andrea Quick or any Board Member if you would like to Chair or be on one of these committees.

1.  Membership Committee:  The Membership Committee shall be responsible for development of new members, developing active communications with members, including newsletters, web page development and electronic mailings.

2.  Board Development Committee:  The Board Development Committee shall be responsible for selecting, with the input of the past Presidents, candidates to fill the vacancies created by the expiration of the terms, and for identifying and organizing opportunities for the development of the directors' skills.

3.  Finance Committee:  The Finance Committee is responsible for preparing a proposed budget annually, providing current up-to-date financial statements and a record of budget status to the Board at every meeting, reviewing financial reports and salary schedules, and presenting its recommendations to the Board.

4.  Fundraising Committee:  The Fundraising Committee shall be responsible for reviewing financial resources necessary for the delivery of services and to work with the Board to obtain such funds.

5.  Building, Grounds and Equipment Committee:  The Building, Grounds and Equipment Committee shall evaluate and make recommendations regarding improvements, repairs, acquisitions, and construction.

6.  Programs Committee:  The Programs Committee shall make recommendations to the Board, regarding existing and new programs consistent with the purposes of the Organization, including, but not limited to, ski lessons and ski patrol.

7.  Junior Race Team Committee:  The Junior Race Team Committee shall be responsible for the development of programs to prepare junior members to compete in ski races conducted by the New York Ski Racing Association.

8.  Volunteer Coordination Committee:  The Volunteer Committee shall facilitate the utilization of volunteer resources for the membership.
